Sunday morning and time for humor, music, pictures, stories, and videos…
It is a time for prayer, worship, contemplation and relaxation.
Today’s theme – Act of Kindness Video & Humor
An Act of Kindness caught on Video
The last wishes of people who are very ill are often fulfilled by family and friends. So when this elderly man who is at the point of death, expressed his wish to visit his favorite restaurant, The Little Big Cup, in Arnaudville, Louisiana for the last time, family and strangers got together to make it even more special.
When the employees and customers there heard about this, they sang ‘Amazing Grace’ for him.
“I’m blown away,” wrote restaurant owner Sanjay Maharaj on Facebook. “Mr. Chauvin is dying, and he wanted one of his last meals at The Little Big Cup. Our employees and guests joined his family celebrating his wonderful life.”
If only we could draw the goodness out of people more often.
One More Thought
Time for a little humor…
Yeah, well back in the day
Kids today don’t know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
Only Off by 5800 Miles
A handyman was working for a temple in Allentown, PA, had asked for a raise and was turned down. He decided to quit and went out to look for work.
First he went to a Catholic church and was told that in order to work there he would have to answer one question.
The priest asked, “Where was Jesus born?”
The man answered, “Pittsburgh,” and was shown the door.
He then went to a Baptist church. The minister told him that in order to get a job there he would have to answer a question.
He was asked, “Where was Jesus born?”
The man answered, “Philadelphia.” He was dismissed.
Walking away, he encountered the rabbi who was looking for him. The rabbi exclaimed, “The board approved your raise. Please come back immediately.”
The man said to the rabbi, “I will come back only if you answer a question.
Where was Jesus born?
The rabbi says, “Bethlehem.”
“HA!,” cries the man. “I knew it was somewhere in Pennsylvania.”
The Numbers don’t Add Up
Just went over my bank account and figured out I can live comfortably without working the rest of my life if I quit my job – as long as I die this Friday.
Lord, I pray for all to slow down and enjoy a blessed Sunday.
